Center for Adult Learning and Literacy (CALL)
The Center for Adult Learning and Literacy wanted a way to organize and access all 7000+ of its resources online. CALL enlisted RainStorm's help in developing a fully searchable, dynamic catalog that enabled users to have their own accounts.
- Users
must create an account using a valid email address. Their
transaction history is recorded and is available
for them to view after logging in to their account.
- If a resource is requested that is currently out of the library, the user has the option of being put on a waiting list. Their position on the waiting list for a specific resource is available to the user once they login to their
account.
- Users who forget their login information have the option to be sent a reminder of their password by going to the “Forgot Your Password?” link. A link is also provided for individuals who had changed their email address since their last visit.
- Email notifications are sent to the user when their account is created, when CALL sends one of their requested resources to them, when one of their items is overdue, and once their order is complete.
- Administrators are sent email notifications when a user places an order. They also have the ability to view a user’s history via a back-end administration interface. Here, they can view which items in the library are currently out, currently requested, or overdue. Administrators also have the ability to update or delete user information.
- A history of individual resources is also provided to administrators via the back-end interface.
