The status quo:

The Maine Shared Collections Strategy is a grant designed to improve library collection access and sharing across Maine's libraries.

The challenge:

As part of their grant, the Maine Shared Collections Strategy (MSCS) board is tasked with publishing their progress and the results of their grant as it progresses. The MSCS board decided that a information-rich, easy to maintain website would be the most efficient and effective way to meet the communications goals of their project.

With that in mind, RainStorm designed a logo and corresponding website with the goal of putting a friendly, accessible face on the largely academic project.

The website is powered by WordPress, an outstanding free system for managing website content, news, file uploads, and images. With WordPress, MSCS staff can easily update the site's news, upload PDF files and presentation documents, and maintain a public calendar.

The results:

Maine Shared Collections Strategy now has a friendly, modern, and easily manageable website to keep their constituents and the public informed of their progress.
