Someone tried to send me an email and it was rejected by SpamCop. How can I prevent this?

SpamCop is an important tool in protecting our clients against unwanted email. If someone is trying to send you a message and it is being rejected by SpamCop, it means that their mail server is being used to send spam and is on a blacklist. This is likely due to a misconfiguration with their server and should be corrected by them.

In order to ensure you receive mail from them however, we can whitelist their mail server on a case-by-case basis. In order to whitelist their mail server we will need the IP address. This is the string of numbers that follows the SpamCop rejection message.

For example the rejection message typically looks like:

"Spam blocked using SpamCop see: http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=checkblock&ip=1.1.1.1"

The part at the end of this message is the IP address (in this case 1.1.1.1). Once you have the IP address, please call or email us and let us know the numbers. We will then whitelist their mail server.
