SpamCop is an important tool in protecting our clients against unwanted email. If you are trying to send email and you get a message about it being rejected by SpamCop, it means that your computer's IP address is on a SPAM blacklist. This is often caused by having a dynamic (changing) IP address. The person who had the IP address before you may have used it to send spam and therefore got it placed on a blacklist. You should contact your ISP, notify them of the problem and request a new IP address.
In the meantime, in order for you to be able to send mail, we can whitelist your IP address on a case-by-case basis. In order to whitelist your IP address we will need to know the string of numbers that follows the SpamCop rejection message.
For example the rejection message typically looks like:
"Spam blocked using SpamCop see: http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=checkblock&ip=1.1.1.1"
The part at the end of this message is the IP address (in this case 1.1.1.1). Once you have the IP address, please call us and let us know the numbers. We will then whitelist your IP to enable you to send email.
