Why does my email client time out when it is downloading my email?

There are several possible causes for this problem.

Make sure that you have a reliable connection to the internet. Open your web browser and test your connection by navigating to several web pages. If you cannot navigate using your web browser, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Your mailbox may contain a corrupted message. Try logging in to your account using Open Webmail, and remove any junk messages from your inbox, log out of Open Webmail, and try to check your mail again using your desktop client.

If you are still unable to successfully connect to your mail server, contact RainStorm for further assistance.
