How do I get my PayPal Website Payments Pro API information?

If you use our DonationStorm tool to accept donations via your website, you will need to create a PayPal Business Account as well enable the Website Payments Pro service on your account. Please complete the PayPal account setup process first, then return here to learn how to submit the necessary information to us.

To use Website Payments Pro on your site, we need some information from your PayPal account.  Use the instructions below to obtain this information from PayPal and send it to us.  Note: you can only request this information if both your PayPal account and bank account have gone through the verification process with PayPal, which is described in this separate FAQ item.

Instructions

1. Login to your PayPal Account.
2. With the My Account tab selected, click the Profile like in the navigation bar.
3. Under Account Information, click the API Access link.
4. Next, click Request API Credentials
5. Select Request API Signature and click the Agree and Submit button.
6. Copy and paste the information (API Username, API Password, and Signature) into an e-mail and send it to your RainStorm Consulting contact.
7. Log out of your PayPal Account at any time.
