How do I adjust my SPAM filter?

Each user may configure the SPAM filter to help remove and handle unwanted email. Users can make the filter more or less stringent as well as blacklist and whitelist senders.

Configure the SPAM filter:

  1. Go to http://www.example.com/siteadmin in your web browser.
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the AV-SPAM button.
  4. Click the Edit button next to the user you would like to edit.
  5. SPAM subject identifier: (leave this box as is)
  6. Required hits: The lower the value in this box, the most stringent the spam filter. We recommend a value of 5.00
  7. Whitelist From: You can enter email addresses of contacts who should never be tagged as spam.
  8. Blacklist From: Enter email addresses that you want to ALWAYS be tagged as spam.
  9. What to do with SPAM: You can choose have the spam tagged but still sent to your mailbox, deleted automatically, saved to a special folder on the server or disable the filter entirely.
  10. Finally, click Save.
